HISTORY
Ridika Myers was born near the coast of North Carolina on Earth. She was raised in the mountains of that same state. Liking the outdoors, but loving everything that had to do with mechanics and engineering, she decided to pursue a career that would put her engineering skills to work, despite her family's protests. She chose to join Starfleet in hopes that her engineering skills would broaden and maybe even make a difference in some way. Because of her family's strong dislike for technology and mechanics, she was disowned as soon as she graduated from college with a master's in aircraft engineering and enlisted in Starfleet Academy. This only fueled the longing to join Starfleet. She then changed her original last name from "Cambridge" to what it is now, "Myers". Even though she is hated by her abusive, simple-life, you'll-never-amount-to-anything family, she does not hate them. She only hopes that one day, they will finally see that they were wrong...
