Dr. Margaret Ungar, Starfleet Medical, reporting :
Rusty Hemd, to use antiquated vernacular, is "a mans man." He is a hunter, a prowler, a protector. He is physical over mental. Cool headed and engaged in physical activities, inattentive and sloppy in procedural tasks. Hed rather stand than sit. Hed rather be out than in. He is well suited for security duties and should excel at them, should he choose to. |

AMBITIONS:
Rusty was an active child, distinguished by his athletic prowess more than his brains. His father, Torne Hemd, was a retired policeman who ran his own detective agency. Between cases, his father often took Rusty out of school to go hunting and camping.
Rusty had a middling grade-average throughout school. Teachers suspected he was brighter than his grades portended because in subjects like exoscience he would visibly perk up over his usually dully-interested demeanor. He won numerous athletic awards, but showed no interest in pursuing athletics as a career. As with academics, Rusty always seemed to want to be somewhere else. After briefly working at his fathers detective agency, Rusty applied to the Starfleet Academy. He failed the entrance exams. After intense tutoring he was accepted on his second application. He showed some talent in Security and related procedures so he concentrated his studies there. His performance was considered above average, but not particularly outstanding. He was, however, deemed fit for duty in Starfleet. |
